Potassium Hydroxide (a.k.a. KOH, Caustic Potash) is an inorganic salt. It is the one the most produced bases worldwide, and shares similarities with sodium hydroxide (NaOH), although sodium hydroxide is estimated to be produced 100 times more than KOH for its lower cost. Potassium Hydroxide has a strong base/caustic nature, and for that, it has a wide range of uses in different types industry, manufacturing products such as soaps, fertilizers, batteries and many others.
