About Electro Zinc Coated Coil. Electro Zinc Coated Coil consists of rolled iron/steel sheets or strips coated by electrodeposited pure zinc. The coiled metal can be hot or cold-rolled, depending on the desired properties, with the cold-rolled material being a further processed hot-rolled product with better finishing and improved mechanical properties. After coiling, the product goes through an electrogalvanizing process to acquire a thin and uniform layer of zinc, with its thickness ranging from 4 to 14 micrometers, although the most common values range from 8 to 10 micrometers. Because of its excellent adhesion, the coating remains intact even after severe deformation.
