It supports combustion and is critical in processes like steelmaking and water treatment. Oxygen is produced via air separation processes and is stored as a compressed gas or liquid. Its broad industrial applications and role in healthcare make it a vital commodity.</p> <h6>Raw Material</h6> <p><b>Compressed Air</b>. Compressed air is widely used in industrial sites for many purposes (e.g., aerating equipment, pneumatic conveying of solids, actuation of pneumatic controls), being regarded as a major utility after electricity, natural gas and water. In this context, almost all industrial plants rely on compressed air systems, varying in size from 5 horsepower small units to huge systems with 50,000 horsepower. Many times, in fact, air compressors use more electricity than any other equipment in industrial plants.</p>
