Terephthalic Acid (also known as TPA) is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid. It is mainly used to produce saturated polyesters, primarily PET (polyethylene terephthalate) followed by PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). Terephthalic Acid is commercialized in two major forms: Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Medium Quality Terephthalic Acid (MTA). The latter is also known as QTA (Qualified Terephthalic Acid), and EPTA (Eastman Proprietary Terephthalic Acid).
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Terephthalic Acid production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (2018/19).
