Chlorine Dioxide Production Costs - Q2 2023
Chlorine Dioxide Operating Costs & Plants Capital Investment
Chlorine Dioxide (a.k.a. ClO2) is a very unstable gas, which easily decomposes into chlorine and oxygen when exposed to light or mild heating. This gas is a potent oxidizing agent, widely used in disinfection applications.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Chlorine Dioxide production costs. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2023).
Chlorine Dioxide from Sodium Chlorate (Sulfuric Acid Process)
This report presents the economics of Chlorine Dioxide production from sodium chlorate via a sulfuric acid-based reduction process. Sulfur dioxide is used as reductant. The economic analysis approaches a plant located in the United States.
Details: 8 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Chlorine Dioxide E11A target a 8 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Chlorine Dioxide from Sodium Chlorate (Hydrochloric Acid Process)
This study presents the costs associated with the construction of a plant for Chlorine Dioxide production from sodium chlorate in the United States. This process is based on the reduction of sodium chlorate, using hydrochloric acid as reducing agent, to produce Chlorine Dioxide.
Details: 8 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Chlorine Dioxide E12A target a 8 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Chlorine Dioxide Production from Chlorine
This study presents the costs associated with the construction of a plant for Chlorine Dioxide production from chlorine in the United States. Initially, sodium chlorate is produced from caustic soda and hydrochloric acid solution via electrolysis. Hydrogen and chlorine are reacted in a furnace to form the pure hydrogen chloride. The sodium chlorate formed is then reduced with the hydrogen chloride to chlorine dioxide.
Details: 10 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $1,199 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Chlorine Dioxide E21A target a 10 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
