It serves as a solvent, humectant, and antifreeze agent, offering versatility in various applications. Propanediol can be produced via petrochemical routes or biobased fermentation processes. It is stored and transported as a liquid and is gaining popularity due to its eco-friendly profile in sustainable product formulations.</p> <h6>Raw Material</h6> <p><b>Glycerol</b>. Crude glycerol is a byproduct of biodiesel production, containing impurities like methanol and soaps. It is used in animal feed, as a raw material for chemical synthesis, and in biogas production. Collected from transesterification processes, it is stored as a viscous liquid. Purification can yield refined glycerol for pharmaceuticals and personal care products.</p>
