Polyethylene Terephthalate Price Outlook. The price of PET (United States) increased during June 2025 to 1,300 USD per metric ton, which represents a rise of 4% compared to the previous month’s value. On a year-over-year basis, the prices of PET (United States) decreased modestly by 3%. Meanwhile, the average price of PET (China) amounted to 847 USD per metric ton, from 989 USD per metric ton one year earlier. On a month-over-month basis, the price of PET (China) is 2% higher than the price one month before.
The price of PET (Southeast Asia) rose slightly throughout June 2025, reaching 939 USD per metric ton. The price is 0.4% higher than the average price in the previous month and 8% lower than the average price one year before. In contrast, the prices of PET (Middle East) increased significantly during June 2025, reaching 996 USD per metric ton, which means a rise of 8% from the previous month’s price and a decline of 15% from the previous year’s price.
The prices of PET (Europe) experienced a modest decline of 20 USD per metric ton from the prior month's price, to 1,150 USD per metric ton. Such price movement meant a decrease of 2% on a monthly basis and a decrease of 7% on a yearly basis. On the other hand, in June 2025, the price of PET (Northeast Asia) witnessed a decline of 32 USD per metric ton when compared against the previous month's price, to 998 USD per metric ton. The June 2025 price is 14% lower than the price one year before.
The average price of PET (South America) was 1,190 USD per metric ton on June 2025 – a sharp increase of 170 USD per metric ton, or 17%, compared with the previous month. On a year-over-year basis, the price of PET (South America) is 2% higher than the price one year before.
