The price of Nitrocellulose (United States) increased during May 2020 to 3,070 USD per metric ton, which represents a slight rise of 2% compared to the previous month’s value. On a year-over-year basis, the prices of Nitrocellulose (United States) decreased significantly by 10%. It is a white solid soluble in ethanol, but not in water. If the solution is spilled, the solvent evaporates and leaves a very flammable plastic film that produces toxic fumes when ignited.
