Frequently Asked Questions

Energy Prices & Markets covers 12 energy commodities: crude oil, natural gas, coal, LPG, naphtha, gasoline, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil, electricity, ethanol and biodiesel. Every country report covers the full set; you cannot subscribe to a subset of commodities.

Learn more

Reports are available for 33 countries across North America, South America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Subscriptions are sold per country: start with one and add more at any time, paying the larger subscription's fee minus a prorated credit for unused time.

All plans include current and historical prices for 12 commodities, and Pro adds short-term forecasts. Advanced and Ultimate add the market outlook (trade flows, partners, production, demand, self-sufficiency), freight and insurance costs, electricity generation by source and global price rankings.

Learn more

Yes, on the Pro, Advanced and Ultimate plans; the Starter plan does not include price forecasts. The forecasts are short-term and cover selected energy price assessments in each country report.

Data is updated monthly. In the last week of each month, price data is collected from governmental agencies and statistical surveys; at the start of the following month it is processed, assessed and released to subscribers, following a published release schedule.

Learn more

New reports come out at the beginning of each month, on a day set by your plan: the 8th business day for Starter, the 5th for Pro, and the 3rd for Advanced and Ultimate. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays, so the calendar date varies.

Learn more

History depends on the plan: Starter has 1 year (monthly), Pro 3 years (quarterly), Advanced 10 years (annual in reports, monthly via API) and Ultimate up to 15 years (monthly via API). Advanced and Ultimate can also pull history through Excel, Power BI and the API.

Learn more

There is no free trial, but you can evaluate the solution first with free preview reports (about one year of history), the public methodology documents, and explanations of each price type covered, all available from the Energy Prices & Markets page.

Learn more

Reports are monthly PDFs, one per country. Log in, open My Products, filter by Energy Prices & Markets and pick a country to view it online or download it if your plan allows. Advanced and Ultimate also get Online Charts, the Excel Add-In, Power BI and the Web API at no extra cost.

Learn more

It depends on the plan. Starter subscribers read the full reports online in the browser but cannot download them; Pro reports can be downloaded as PDF files; Advanced and Ultimate reports are both downloadable and print-enabled.

Learn more

Four annual plans, sold per country: Starter (local businesses, home-country access), Pro (global access and price forecasts), Advanced (market outlook, freight data, Excel, Power BI and API) and Ultimate (third-party sharing, up to 20 users, on request).

Learn more

Fees are charged per country and billed annually: Starter $19 USD/month, Pro $29, Advanced from $39, and Ultimate on request from $129. The total grows with the number of countries. You can pay by credit card, PayPal or wire transfer; wire transfer adds a fee and takes 3-5 business days.

Learn more

No. Reports are not sold one by one; they come only with an annual subscription to the countries you choose, which delivers a new report for each subscribed country every month. Free preview reports with about one year of history are available for every country.

Learn more

Energy Prices & Markets is sold by country, so the smallest subscription is one complete country; you cannot buy part of a country or a single data series. Coverage sets are fixed and chosen at checkout, and all plans are annual, with no monthly billing.

Assessments are built from official data sources, combining AI processing with expert human oversight, and their accuracy is benchmarked and monitored over time. The methodology behind each solution is documented and publicly available, so you can see how each assessment is built.

Learn more

Yes. All plans allow sharing with colleagues of the same company: Starter includes 2 logins, Pro 3, Advanced 5 and Ultimate up to 20, added under Users Management. Only colleagues with your company email domain can be added, and each login is personal.

The API comes with the Advanced and Ultimate plans. Buy one of them, invite users, give one the Developer role, read the API documentation, test in the sandbox and integrate with your systems. Starter or Pro subscribers upgrade to Advanced or Ultimate first.
