Bespoke Production Cost Report

Assess the economic feasibility of any manufacturing process

With more than two decades dedicated to analyzing production technologies, Intratec has evaluated over a thousand industrial processes and emerging routes worldwide. Backed by a solid methodology, the Intratec team can deliver highly reliable techno-economic assessments in just a few weeks — a sharp contrast to small in-house teams, which often lack experience in this type of study and spend months producing less consistent results.

So if the process you need is not yet covered in our library of 850+ reports, you can request a bespoke report. Developed on demand, these reports focus precisely on the production route of your interest — whether a patented pathway, a lab-scale process, or an alternative technology highlighted in technical papers. The report will be built on assumptions you define — such as industrial plant capacity, location, and technology — while maintaining the same rigor and consistency of our off-the-shelf Commodity Production Cost reports.

As all Intratec Production Cost Reports, the bespoke report will be based on recent economic data (Q1 2026), and will include:

  • Process Description: raw materials and utilities consumption, products generation, labor requirements, list of equipment, characterization of site infrastructure, process flow diagram (PFD)
  • Capital Cost Analysis: costs of plant construction, working capital, owners' costs, commissioning, start-up and contingency
  • Operating Cost Analysis: variable costs, fixed costs (salary, benefits & maintenance) and corporate overhead costs

And much more . . .

Request in Three Steps

1
Think About the Scope

First, align with your team on the scope of the analysis: think about the target commodity, process technology, plant capacity, and location. Additional assumptions and references (e.g. patents, articles) will help guide the study. The clearer the scope, the more valuable the Bespoke Report.

2
Request a Quote

Submit the online form with your defined scope and supporting data. Our team will review it and, within 3 business days, send the final quote and payment instructions. The quote is non-binding — you only move forward if it makes sense for you.

3
Development & Delivery

Once payment is confirmed, we develop the bespoke Commodity Production Costs report fully aligned with the assumptions you defined. Delivery happens within a few weeks, with the report following the same structure as our Production Cost reports.

What You Get in Each Report

Behind every cost estimate is a structured view of the process, its requirements, and the economics of building and operating the plant.

💡 Bespoke reports meet diverse business needs

Typical Use Cases

Over the years, our Bespoke Production Cost Reports have been successfully used in multiple ways.

service image

Evaluate emerging processes and innovative routes — from patents and technical articles to lab-scale concepts — supporting R&D teams with preliminary techno-economic assessments.

service image

Assess different scenarios of a single project by adjusting assumptions such as capacity, location, integration of utilities, or by-product generation — enabling sensitivity analysis and evaluation of alternatives.

service image

Compare the economics of alternative projects or configurations, supporting investment screening and helping decision-makers prioritize the most competitive opportunities.

service image

Provide a robust techno-economic foundation for technology selection studies and early-stage conceptual projects, helping organizations compare alternatives and guide strategic decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Bespoke reports follow the same fixed structure as our standard Commodity Production Costs reports. You define the scope — technology routes, plant capacities — but the format and analyses stay consistent.

Once payment clears, delivery typically takes about 15 business days, depending on the complexity of the request — still far faster than the months an internal study can take.

Pricing starts at USD 4,000. The final price depends on complexity, such as how novel the process is and how many references it requires. You receive a formal quote before any work begins.

By default, no — other customers can purchase it after delivery. If you need exclusive access, so the report stays private, we can arrange that for an additional fee.

No. Once delivered, a bespoke report can't be changed — new assumptions require a new request. That's why it's worth defining the scope carefully up front.

After you define the scope, we send a quote with price and delivery details. To proceed, choose your report editions and pay by credit card or bank transfer. Development begins once payment is confirmed.
