Polyacrylonitrile (a.k.a. PAN, Acrylic Fiber) is a polymer resin mainly composed of acrylonitrile. This important acrylic resin is used in the production of a wide range of products, from ultra-filtration membranes to high-quality carbon fibers. While acrylonitrile homopolymer, due to its prevailing polar nature, has unique characteristics such as hardness, rigidity, and resistance to chemicals, solvents and heat, this polymer has limited application as it combines high melting point, high melt viscosity, and poor thermal stability.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Polyacrylonitrile production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2019).
