Hexene (a.k.a. Hexenes) refers to a group of alkene isomers with molecular formula C6H12. The most important Hexene is the 1-Hexene, which is largely employed as a comonomer in the production of polymers. 1-Hexene is a clear colorless liquid with a petroleum like odor. It is used as a solvent, paint thinner, and chemical reaction medium. Hexenes are produced from the dehydration of their respective hexanol. 1-Hexene, however, is most commonly manufactured via ethylene oligomerization.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Hexene production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2019).
