Prices are presented in a user-friendly graphing tool, which allows comparison of price trends, download of price data as Excel or PDF files, customization of data views.

Available Views. Data in our Commodities Price Database is presented in several ways:

  • Historical Prices (Chart): A chart presenting Pricesover time, in different countries. Hover the mouse over the price series to view the respective values plotted. You can filter a given series by clicking on the respective legend label, right above the chart.
  • Historical Prices (Table): A table presenting all prices for , including historical series and forecasts. According to your subscription plan, the Data Table may be downloaded as a PDF, Excel or CSV file.
  • Price Forecasts (Chart): A chart presenting short-term forecasts for Prices, in different countries. Hover the mouse over the price series to view the respective values plotted. You can filter a given series by clicking on the respective legend label, right above the chart. This chart is available only to subscribers of the 'Pro' or 'Business' plans.
  • Price Variation (Chart): A chart presenting percentage change in Prices, on a monthly or yearly basis.

Data Status. The following types of data are available in the chart:

  • Final: Calculations carried with official statistics
  • Preliminary: Estimates based on non-consolidated data; which will be recalculated/revised as consolidated data becomes available
  • Forecast: Estimates of what Intratec considers to be the most probable scenario for the upcoming months, as of the date such forecasts are updated.

What is Commodity Price Database? If I subscribe, which data will I have access to?

Commodity Price Database is the largest, online database covering commodities prices. Subscribers can access pricing data of as much as 218 commodities, including historical data dating back to 2007 and forecasts, across +20 countries worldwide.

All 218 commodities covered are grouped according to the respective industry sector. When subscribing, you can choose the coverage(s) of your interest, each one targeting a specific industry sector.

Finally, you may check the country-level price series available for each commodity in our brochure .

Can I do a free trial of a paid plan for Commodity Price Database?

Kindly note that anyone interested in our Commodity Price Database has access to a variety of free samples. We provide above a full sample – the Crude Oil Price Chart – where you can check all pricing data available for this commodity and try all our database features. In addition, we offer 3-years historical series as extended samples of our pricing data for every commodity in our database (you must register to check these extended samples.)

So please note that we do not offer free trial subscription plans; we believe that those who are interested in Commodity Price Database are able to decide whether to subscribe by checking the available free samples.

If I subscribe, how will I access pricing data for commodities? Will you send me reports?

Subscribers access commodities pricing data through online charts, accessible in the User Area, at Intratec website. Naturally, the subscriber must be logged in Intratec website (using the same email and password of the subscription) to access the data.

Finally, please note that Intratec does not send reports about the data presented.

How often is the data presented in this database refreshed? And when is the data updated?

The commodity pricing data presented is refreshed on a monthly basis, as new information is obtained. However, it is important to highlight that the frequency which specific regional data is actually updated depends on how often official sources from countries from those regions report that data.

In this context, by the end of each month ― typically in the second or third week ― the Intratec team updates Commodity Price Database.

I am interested in the prices of just a few commodities...Can I subscribe to access just the data I need, for a discounted subscription fee?

Commodity Price Database covers prices of 218 commodities, grouped according to the respective industry sector. When subscribing, you can choose the coverage(s) of your interest, each one targeting a specific industry sector.

However, kindly note that we offer no subscriptions for accessing specific commodity(ies) from our database; you must choose among the available subscription plans and coverages.

Do you offer monthly subscriptions?

Actually not - kindly note that all subscriptions offered by Intratec are charged on an annual basis.

How many users are allowed under the subscription?

The number of users (logins) allowed is according to the subscription plan of the subscriber. Subscribers of Standard and Pro plans have only one login to access the data. Subscribers of Business plans can have up to three users (logins) to access the data.

It is worth to highlight that only corporate emails, from the same company and with the same domain, can be used for logins in Business subscriptions. Free emails (domains such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc) cannot be used for logins under a Business subscription.

The data I need is not covered in your database - what should I do?

If you cannot find the data of your interest in none of Intratec databases, you may submit this request form . In this case, our experts may work to provide exactly the data you need. They will provide you with a quotation for this the data you need in no more than 2 business days. Of course, since this is a customized data analysis, not available in our regular database, this quotation shall be higher than our regular subscription fees.

How do I cancel my subscription and what happens if I do?

Our customers are entitled to cancel subscription plans at any time. Once you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to your subscription plan data until the end of your current billing period.

To cancel a subscription, you should follow the steps below:

  • Login at with your email and password (top-menu)
  • Once logged on, you must click on "Go to User Area" (top-menu)
  • In the User Area, hover the mouse over “Account” (top-menu) and click on "Subscriptions"
  • Then, you should see a list of all of your subscriptions on our website - just click on the cancel link of the plan you are willing to cancel.

The Intratec team will proceess your cancellation within 2 business days. Upon cancellation, an email will be sent confirming that the recurring billing is interrupted.

Please note that refunds related to Intratec Indexes & Pricing Data subscriptions are not provided.
