Billing and Payments

Payments methods vary according to the customer country. Usually, payments can be made via the following methods:

  • Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express)
  • Bank Transfers
  • PayPal

Please note that credit cards from outside USA must be enabled for international transactions (in US dollars).

Finally, as all Intratec products are delivered only after payment confirmation, it is worth mentioning that payments via credit card and PayPal are promptly identified, while bank transfers can take 3-5 days to be identified.

Yes - Intratec stands behind the reports it sells! If a customer is not satisfied with the type / volume of information presented in a report, it can ask for refund (See our Refund Policy).

Please note, however, that our Refund Policy is not applicable to our database subscriptions, since databases content can be previously checked through the available samples.

Your company VAT ID may not be validated by our system due to two main reasons:

  • Errors in the VAT ID provided: please make sure that you entered the correct VAT number
  • Errors in the VAT ID format: some countries define VAT ID numbers in specific formats, which includes characters like "." and "-". To illustrate, the VAT ID in Indonesia must have the following format: "XX.XXX.XXX.X-XXX.XXX". So a company from Indonesia with VAT number 02.162.942.3-053.000 must enter the VAT ID in the form exactly this way, including the characters "." and "-", otherwise the VAT ID will not be validated. So please make sure you enter the VAT number with all special characters it has, if any

For receiving payments in countries where Value-Added Tax (VAT) is charged, Intratec uses the FastSpring digital commerce platform (www.fastspring.com). FastSpring handles tax collection, compliance and payment on Intratec's behalf, including VAT. Business customers purchasing through FastSpring platform can waive VAT charges by providing a valid VAT ID at the time of purchase. FastSpring may process payments via several payment methods (e.g. credit cards, wire transfers, PayPal).

 

Yes. We're committed to making your purchases secure and we take special steps to ensure you and your credit card are safe. We are PCI Compliant, meaning there's no risk of your personal data or credit card information being stolen. Using your credit card on our site is 100% safe, and because we don't store credit card numbers, there's no chance of unauthorized access or the numbers being stolen.

We use SSL Certificates that meet the highest standard in the internet security industry for secure transactions. This certificate establishes a private communication channel enabling encryption of the data during transmission.

 

Please verify if your credit card details are correct, including the card code located on the back of your card. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, the card code is the last 3 digit number located on the back of your card on or above your signature line. For an American Express card, it is the last 4 digits at the very end of your card number.

  • Insufficient funds
  • Frozen account status
  • Invalid credit card number or expiration date
  • Unusual transactions, etc.

In such cases, the card issuer does not inform us the precise denial reason and customers need to contact the card issuing bank for more information.

 

This is a fee Intratec charges when our customers pay via bank transfer. Kindly note that, when it comes to bank transfers, banks processing the transaction deduct charges directly from the amount being transferred, in such a way that the Intratec receives an amount that is lessened by those fees. In addition, the processing/identification of payments via bank transfer demands additional time/resources from our sales team. That is why this USD 199 is charged.

 

If you need to add any extra information (e.g. local TAX ID numbers) to your invoice or quote you should fill out the field "Additional Information for your Invoice/Quote" in the step “Billing”, during checkout.

If you need to add your company Purchase Order (P. O.) Number to your invoice or quote you should fill out the field "Customer / Purchase Order (P. O.) Number" in the step “Billing”, during checkout.

You can easily get a quote (PDF file) for any Intratec report or subscription. Just click on “Subscribe” or "Buy" and proceed as if you would purchase the subscription or report.

In the step “Billing” you will be able to download the quote you need. Just enter your billing info and click on QUOTE under "Choose the Next Step" and proceed as usual.

Important note: A Quote is a document stating the price of Intratec products, provided for information purposes only and with no legal value. If you want a document with bank information for payment via bank transfer, in the step "Billing" you must select 'Pay' and 'Invoice / Purchase Order', in 'Choose the Payment Method'. At the end, you will have an invoice (PDF file) with all bank details for payment.

You can easily get an invoice (PDF file) for any Intratec report or subscription, with bank information for payment via bank transfer, in Intratec website.

Just click on “Buy” or “Subscribe” and proceed. In the step “Billing”, enter your billing info and:

  • Select "PAY", under "Choose the Next Step"; and
  • Select "'INVOICE / PURCHASE ORDER", under "Choose the Payment Method"

Proceed to payment and, in the end, a pop up from FastSpring (Intratec reseller) will appear - select "Wire Transfer" and you will receive an invoice for payment, with all bank information necessary.

If you follow the instructions provided above, at the end you will be able to download an invoice with all information necessary for executing the payment via wire transfer.

On the other hand, if you want us to generate an invoice for you - that is, we would send you an invoice via email - a Representative Assisted Fee of USD 299 is charged. This fee is charged because assisted sales of any report/subscription demands additional time/resources from our sales team, to generate the invoice, process specific requirements, etc. So if you want us to generate the invoice, please provide all info that we must include (company name, address, tax number(s) if any, etc).

You can easily download invoices related to purchase of reports or subscriptions in Intratec’s User Area, by following the steps below:

  1. Login at www.intratec.us with your email and password (top-menu)
  2. Once logged on, you must click on "Go to User Area" (top-menu)
  3. In the User Area, hover the mouse over “Account” (top-menu) and click on "Orders".
  4. You will see a list with all orders you made, then choose an order and click on the link 'see details'.
  5. In the details page just click on the 'Download Invoice' button

Kindly note that Intratec offers a robust platform for conducting online (through Intratec website) purchases of Intratec reports and data subscriptions. Therefore, as assisted sales of any report/subscription demands additional time/resources from our sales team, a fixed fee of USD 299 ("Representative Assisted Fee") is charged when our sales team is requested to generate an invoice, process specific requirements, etc. Such fee for assisted sales is waived in purchases above USD 6,000.

We understand that some customers need to register suppliers, and/or generate documents internally as part of the purchasing procedure, but in all such cases any Intratec sale will necessarily be ruled by Intratec terms. In this context, Intratec does not accept terms, agreements, documents from companies willing to purchase Intratec reports and/or subscriptions.
