Price Dynamics. The Cyanoguanidine price in United States decreased during September 2018 to 2,540 USD per metric ton, which represents a slight decline of 3% compared to the previous month’s value. On a year-over-year basis, Cyanoguanidine prices in United States increased significantly by 15%. About Cyanoguanidine. Cyanoguanidine (a.k.a. 2-Cyanoguanidine, DCD) is a white and crystalline solid. It is a nitrile derived form of guanidine.
Dry crystalline Cyanoguanidine is stable at normal temperatures. Aqueous solutions of Cyanoguanidine are stable up to 80 °C. Above this temperature, ammonia is released. Cyanoguanidine is not hygroscopic, flammable, or corrosive. It is packed in paper or plastic woven bags of 25kg net weight or in big bags of up to 1000 kg. Cyanoguanidine must be stored separated from strong oxidants and strong acids.
