Calcium Chloride (a.k.a. Calcium Dichloride) is white and crystalline salt commonly encountered as a hydrated solid (mono, di, tetra and hexahydrates). It is highly soluble in water, reaching 75% at temperatures above 175°C. The salt is found in seawater, mineral springs and some mineral deposits.
