Trimethylolpropane (also known as TMP) is building block in the polymer industry. It is also consumed as a precursor to alkyd resins. Acrylated and alkoxylated TMPs are used as monomers to produce coatings. Ethoxylated and propoxylated TMPs are used for production of flexible polyurethanes. Allyl ether derivatives of TMP are precursors to high-gloss coatings and ion exchange resins.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Trimethylolpropane production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (2017/18).
