This report presents an up-to-date, detailed cost analysis of Polymer Grade (PG) Propylene production from propane. The process examined is similar to UOP Oleflex process, which is based on the propylene production via propane dehydrogenation in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst in moving-bed reactors. This process comprises a Catalyst Continuous Regeneration (CCR) area, whose main purposes are to burn the coke deposited on the catalyst during the reaction, redistribute platinum, remove excess moisture and return the catalyst to its reduced state.
