Polyvinylidene Chloride Cost of Production | Q2 2024
Updated Reports Examining Polyvinylidene Chloride Manufacturing Costs
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand Commodity Cost of Production reports analyzing the costs of Polyvinylidene Chloride manufacturing processes. Each report describes an industrial plant based on a specific Polyvinylidene Chloride process. The report also presents an independent analysis of the costs of Polyvinylidene Chloride production, encompassing plant capital costs (capex) and plant operating costs (opex). All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2024).
Vinylidene Chloride-Vinyl Chloride Copolymer Production
This report presents the economics of Vinylidene Chloride Copolymer production from vinylidene chloride (VDC) and vinyl chloride using a suspension polymerization process. The economic analysis approaches a plant located in the United States.
Details: 15 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2024 | 108 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report PVDC E11A target a 15 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Vinylidene Chloride Copolymer from 1,1-DCE, MMA & Ethyl Acrylate
This study presents the economics of Vinylidene Chloride Copolymer production from vinylidene chloride (1,1-DCE), ethyl acrylate, and methyl methacrylate (MMA) using an emulsion polymerization process. The economic analysis assumes a plant located in the United States.

About Polyvinylidene Chloride. Polyvinylidene Chloride (a.k.a. PVDC Resins, Vinylidene Chloride Copolymer) are clear semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymers, that were among the first synthetic ones to be commercialized. They are produced by the polymerization of a vinylidene chloride monomer with other monomers such as acrylic esters and unsaturated carboxyl groups. Their most valuable property is low permeability to a wide range of gases and vapors.
Polyvinylidene Chloride Uses. The uses and applications of PVDC Resins may vary according to its specification. The main forms of PVDC Resins are emulsion latex and solid resin. In addition,a number of comonomers can be used with different composition in the PVDC production (e.g.,vinyl chloride, acrylic acid, and acrylonitrile).
Intratec Methodology. Intratec distilled its expertise, gained from more than a decade of supporting companies worldwide in the analysis of commodities markets and process economics, and developed a consistent report development methodology.
The methodology ensures a holistic, coherent, and consistent techno-economic evaluation, guiding the development of a report that allows readers to fully understand a specific process technology for the production of a commodity. In addition to being based on a common methodology, all Intratec reports that approach industrial processes have a common structure, i.e., indexes, tables and charts share similar standards. This ensures that Intratec’s readers know upfront what they will get and, more than that, will be able to compare technologies addressed in different reports.
Our methodology is continuously tested and proven by the many corporations involved with the commodities sector, R&D centers, EPC companies, financial institutions and government agencies that rely on our reports.
