Polybutadiene (also known as Butadiene Rubber and BR) one of the largest volume synthetic rubber produced, is an elastomeric polymer with a variety of different properties depending on the ratio of its microstructural units and its tacticity. Most of its production is destined to the tires industry, followed by the improvement of plastics mechanical properties. Polybutadiene is produced through polymerization of 1,3-butadiene by several techniques, according to the required properties.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Polybutadiene production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (2018/19).
