p-Nitrophenol Cost of Production | Q2 2024
Updated Reports Examining p-Nitrophenol Manufacturing Costs
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand Commodity Cost of Production reports analyzing the costs of p-Nitrophenol manufacturing processes. Each report describes an industrial plant based on a specific p-Nitrophenol process. The report also presents an independent analysis of the costs of p-Nitrophenol production, encompassing plant capital costs (capex) and plant operating costs (opex). All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2024).
p-Nitrophenol Production
This report analyses the economics of p-Nitrophenol (PNP) production from 4-nitrochlorobenzene and sodium hydroxide. In the process, 4-nitrochlorobenzene reacts with sodium hydroxide producing PNP, which is then concentrated and treated to be obtained as a pure product. The economic analysis is based on a plant located in the United States.

About p-Nitrophenol. p-Nitrophenol (a.k.a. 4-Nitrophenol, PNP) is a phenolic compound that has a nitro group at the opposite position of the hydroxyl group on the benzene ring. It appears as yellowish monociclic, prismatic crystals, that are soluble in alcohol, ether, and hot water. It is produced by the hydrolysis of 4-Chloronitrobenzene.
p-Nitrophenol Uses. The uses and applications of p-Nitrophenol may vary according to its specification. The main forms of p-Nitrophenol are technical grade.
Intratec Methodology. Intratec distilled its expertise, gained from more than a decade of supporting companies worldwide in the analysis of commodities markets and process economics, and developed a consistent report development methodology.
The methodology ensures a holistic, coherent, and consistent techno-economic evaluation, guiding the development of a report that allows readers to fully understand a specific process technology for the production of a commodity. In addition to being based on a common methodology, all Intratec reports that approach industrial processes have a common structure, i.e., indexes, tables and charts share similar standards. This ensures that Intratec’s readers know upfront what they will get and, more than that, will be able to compare technologies addressed in different reports.
Our methodology is continuously tested and proven by the many corporations involved with the commodities sector, R&D centers, EPC companies, financial institutions and government agencies that rely on our reports.
