Acrylonitrile Butadiene elastomers are a copolymer of acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene. As other nitrile elastomers, NBR is manufactured commercially by emulsion polymerization, in form of a solid rubber (solid Nitrile Rubber) or in form of latex (NBR Latex). Manufactured over a range of monomer ratios and molecular weights, nitrile rubbers can have different physical constants and properties - major applications include the production of automotive transmission belts, disposable non-latex gloves, hoses, etc.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Nitrile Rubber production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (2019/20).
