Ethylhexyl Acrylate Cost of Production | Q1 2024
Updated Reports Examining Ethylhexyl Acrylate Manufacturing Costs
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand Commodity Cost of Production reports analyzing the costs of Ethylhexyl Acrylate manufacturing processes. Each report describes an industrial plant based on a specific Ethylhexyl Acrylate process. The report also presents an independent analysis of the costs of Ethylhexyl Acrylate production, encompassing plant capital costs (capex) and plant operating costs (opex). All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q1 2024).
2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate Production
This report approaches the production of 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) from acrylic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. The process examined is similar to the Synthomer's 2-EHA Process. In this process acrylic acid and n-butanol are directly converted to 2-EHA via an esterification reaction catalyzed by p-Toluene Sulfonic Acid. The economic analysis performed assumes a plant located in the United States.
Details: 40 kta United States-based plant | Q1 2024 | 108 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report 2-EHA E11A target a 40 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.

Acrylic Acid Production from Propylene
This report presents the economics of Ester-Grade Acrylic Acid (EAA) production from chemical grade (CG) propylene in a plant located in the United States. The process consists in a two stage vapor-phase oxidation of propylene, yieding Acrylic Acid, which is then purified to obtain the Ester-Grade product.
Details: 150 kta United States-based plant | Q1 2024 | 106 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Acrylic Acid E11A target a 150 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Butyl Acrylate Production from Acrylic Acid and Butanol
This report approaches the production of n-Butyl Acrylate from acrylic acid and n-butanol. The process examined is similar to the Synthomer's Butyl Acrylate Process. In this process acrylic acid and n-butanol are directly converted to Butyl Acrylate via an esterification reaction catalyzed by p-Toluene Sulfonic Acid. The economic analysis performed assumes a plant located in the United States.

About Ethylhexyl Acrylate. Ethylhexyl Acrylate (a.k.a. 2-EHA), the ester of acrylic acid and 2-ethyl hexanol, is one of the most important higher alkyl acrylates. The term acrylates refers to derivatives of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, such as salts and esters. These compounds were known since the nineteenth century, however only in the 1930s difficulties associated with their production and polymerization were overwhelmed. Over the past decades, acrylates have been building blocks of major importance, widely used in emulsion and solution polymers.
Ethylhexyl Acrylate Uses. Usually,2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate is commercialized with a 99.5 wt% minimum purity.
Intratec Methodology. Intratec distilled its expertise, gained from more than a decade of supporting companies worldwide in the analysis of commodities markets and process economics, and developed a consistent report development methodology.
The methodology ensures a holistic, coherent, and consistent techno-economic evaluation, guiding the development of a report that allows readers to fully understand a specific process technology for the production of a commodity. In addition to being based on a common methodology, all Intratec reports that approach industrial processes have a common structure, i.e., indexes, tables and charts share similar standards. This ensures that Intratec’s readers know upfront what they will get and, more than that, will be able to compare technologies addressed in different reports.
Our methodology is continuously tested and proven by the many corporations involved with the commodities sector, R&D centers, EPC companies, financial institutions and government agencies that rely on our reports.
