Cyclohexanone is an organic compound, in the cyclic ketone class. It is a colorless oily liquid, with acetone odor, slightly soluble in water, but miscible with most organic solvents. Cyclohexanone began being industrially produced in the 1940s, sometime after the beginning of cyclohexanol manufacture. Currently, the ketone is largely commercialized, since it is a key element in the production of adipic acid and caprolactam, intermediates in nylon manufacture.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Cyclohexanone production. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (2019/20).
