Acrylic Maleic Copolymer Production Costs - Q2 2023
Acrylic Maleic Copolymer Operating Costs & Plants Capital Investment
Acrylic Maleic Copolymer (a.k.a. Acrylic Acid Maleic Anhydride Copolymer) is a low molecular weight polyelectrolyte, a copolymer of maleic anhydride and acrylic acid. It has good dispersant performance against carbonate and scale inhibition for phosphate. It has good thermal stability, being used under high temperatures. The copolymer has good compatibility and synergistic effect when used with other water treatment agents. Due to its excellent scale inhibition performance and high temperature resistance, it is widely used in various circulating cooling water systems, such as low-pressure boilers, centralized heating and central air conditioning systems. In addition, acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer can also be used as a chelating dispersant in the textile printing and dyeing industry.
Intratec offers professional, easy-to-understand reports examining Acrylic Maleic Copolymer production costs. Each study describes an industrial plant, including main process units and site infrastructure, and presents an independent analysis of capital and operating costs. All reports are based on the most recent economic data available (Q2 2023).
Acrylic/Maleic Copolymer Production
This report presents an economic analysis of Acrylic Acid Maleic Anhydride Copolymer production. The analysis, reflecting the economics of a United States-based plant, approaches an industrial process in that maleic anhydride is first hydrolyzed before being reacted with acrylic acid to form an Acrylic/Maleic Copolymer that is usually employed in detergents.
Details: 3 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report AMC E11A target a 3 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.

Acrylic Acid Production from Propylene
This report presents the economics of Ester-Grade Acrylic Acid (EAA) production from chemical grade (CG) propylene in a plant located in the United States. The process consists in a two stage vapor-phase oxidation of propylene, yieding Acrylic Acid, which is then purified to obtain the Ester-Grade product.
Details: 150 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 106 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Acrylic Acid E11A target a 150 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Maleic Anhydride from Butane (Fixed-Bed Reactor + Solvent-Based Recovery)
This feasibility study presents an analysis of Maleic Anhydride production from n-butane in the United States using a process similar to the one developed by Huntsman. In this process, maleic anhydride is produced by the partial oxidation reaction of n-butane with oxygen carried out in a fixed-bed reactor, using a vanadium–phosphorus oxide (VPO) catalyst supported on silica. The reactor effluent is directed to a solvent-based recovery system for Maleic Anhydride separation.
Details: 60 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $799 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report MAN E11A target a 60 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
Phenethyl Alcohol Production
This report presents the economics of a typical Phenethyl Alcohol production process from benzene, ethylene oxide, and aluminum chloride in the United States via a Friedel-Crafts reaction. In the process, benzene and ethylene oxide reacts in the presence of Aluminum trichloride, producing an addition product, which is hydrolyzed to the Phenethyl Alcohol.
Details: 1 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2023 | 107 pages From $1,999 USD
The cost analyses presented in the report Phenethyl Alcohol E11A target a 1 kta (kilometric tons per annum) United States-based plant. For those interested in cost analyses considering other plant capacities and/or locations, Intratec offers a customized analysis as an optional feature.
