2-Ethylhexanol Production from Propylene and Syngas
Production Cost Report | 2-EH E11A
Details: 160 kta United States-based plant | Q2 2020 | 109 pages | Buy From $1,199 USD |
This report presents a cost analysis of a 160 kta (kilometric tons per annun) United States-based plant. You can add a customized cost analysis, assuming another plant capacity and/or location (country), when ordering an advanced version of this report.
This report presents an up-to-date, detailed cost analysis of 2-Ethylhexanol (2-EH) production from propylene and syngas. The process examined is similar to the LP OXO Selector technology jointly licensed by JM Davy and Dow. Initially, propylene reacts with syngas in a hydroformylation reaction, yielding n-butyraldehyde. Then, the n-butyraldehyde is submitted to an aldolization, and is subsequently dehydrated to 2-ethylpropylacrolein (EPA). Finally, the EPA is hydrogenated, yielding 2-EH.
This report, 2-EH E11A, is a best-in-class examination of 2-Ethylhexanol production, providing in-depth, comprehensive techno-economic analysis of the production technology examined, including:
- Process Description: raw materials and utilities consumption, products generation, labor requirements, list of equipment, characterization of site infrastructure, process flow diagram (PFD).
- Capital Cost Analysis: costs of plant construction, working capital, owners' costs, commissioning, start-up and contingency.
- Operating Cost Analysis: variable costs, fixed costs (salary, benefits & maintenance) and corporate overhead costs.
- And much more . . .
